The Inspiration Behind
Black Country Money Matters CIC

Black Country Money Matters CIC was born out of a deep rooted passion to make financial education accessible to all. Growing up in the Black Country, Leah Crowfoot saw first-hand how financial struggles can impact individuals and families, often in ways that go unseen. This personal experience gave her the drive to ensure that others wouldn’t have to face the same hardships without guidance.

Leah’s journey with money began at a young age, learning the importance of budgeting and saving to stretch every penny. As she grew older, her understanding of the barriers people face in managing their finances deepened. Whether it’s navigating the complexities of debt, dealing with the anxiety of managing a tight budget, or understanding the intricacies of taxes, Leah knew that more needed to be done to empower people with practical financial knowledge.

That’s why she founded Black Country Money Matters CIC - to ensure that others don’t have to navigate financial challenges alone. Today, Leah’s mission continues to be rooted in that same desire: to unlock financial confidence for every person, regardless of their starting point.

Leah’s story is proof that understanding money doesn’t start with wealth - it starts with knowledge, support, and the belief that change is possible.
